Letter to the editor - Besides, Fallon would have had to wait until July...

I'll give a thistle to the
Register's editors in response to the one they
gave Ed Fallon for giving a global warming
speech on a cold day ("A Chilling Reception,"
Feb. 24 Roses & Thistles).
Even though I disagree with
Fallon on many political issues, I credit him
with honesty for saying what he believes to be
true, regardless of the day. The Register's
response gives me even more reason to believe
that this is a political and not a scientific
issue.
I think all of the Register's
readers should be insulted to know that the
editors believe that their evaluation of facts
would be influenced by the weather on the day
that they are presented.
