Letter to the editor - Civic Skinny is nothing, if not persistent

Wednesday, March 12, 2008

Here we go again. Civic Skinny is nothing if not persistent (“Civic Skinny,” Feb. 28). Ralph Nader’s entry into the presidential race is supposedly a bad deal for the “sometime-Democrat” Ed Fallon, Leonard Boswell’s opponent in the Third District primary. We live in a democracy. Democrats get to dissent. Fallon’s 2000 dissent doesn’t seem to bother people much, except “Civic Skinny” and Democratic Party leaders. We should also note that Al Gore won Iowa in 2000, not George W. Bush.
