Letter to the editor - Time for Boswell to zip it
Leonard Boswell's
quixotic crusade to deliver Windsor Heights a
ZIP Code of its very own during a time of war
and economic crisis should be an embarrassment.
Boswell also supports the
development of coal-fired power plants when
global warming is an accepted scientific fact.
He voted for the Patriot Act and the
warrantless wiretapping of American citizens
and also voted for the NAFTA-like free-trade
agreement with Peru, shipping more jobs out of
our country.
I want to know that my
congressman will vote to bring our troops home,
fight global warming, strengthen our civil
rights and stop the outflow of jobs. I want a
congressman who isn't owned by a company, but
passionately fights for his constituents.
Ed Fallon cannot be bought and
will not waver from his ideals. I can't promise
he won't help Windsor Heights residents gain
their much-coveted ZIP Code, but I promise it
won't be the hallmark of his time in office.
