Letter to the editor - Fallon for Congress
After receiving 26
percent of the vote statewide and 41 percent of
the vote in District 3 in the 2006 governor’s
race, it is amazing to me that Cityview is
persisting with the view that Ed Fallon is a
“kook” (“Civic Skinny,” Jan. 24). Skinny likes
to portray him or herself as the ultimate
political insider, but this column only raised
suspicion that a certain percent of the
political “scoop” Skinny claims to have is
simply recycled hash.
There is a reason Fallon has a
loyal core of supporters who are the foundation
of his well-run grassroots campaigns, and there
is a reason he ran so well in the governor’s
race. To name just two: his beliefs resonate
with poor and working people and he is free to
vote these beliefs because he does not accept
money from special interests. This is good news
for the Democratic Party.
