Greenpeace Praises Fallon
Greenpeace issued a press release praising Ed for his global climate change policies he has introduced.
They said:
Greenpeace applauds Ed Fallon for introducing a comprehensive, science-based global warming platform as a candidate for Congress in Iowa's Third Congressional District. Iowans are already feeling the effects of global warming and our representatives have a moral responsibility to act.
...It is especially encouraging to see Fallon's strong opposition to dirty, dangerous energy sources like coal and nuclear. Federal support for these costly distractions will only come at the expense of real global warming solutions like wind power.
The Democratic incumbent, Rep. Leonard Boswell, took an important step toward becoming a climate champion by co-sponsoring the Safe Climate Act, HR 1590, in December. Greenpeace encourages Rep. Boswell to follow Fallon's lead and go beyond signing the Safe Climate Act to oppose any federal subsides to the coal or nuclear industries.
