Letter to the editor - The Des Moines Register
We here in the 3rd District have some
pretty serious problems that need to be
addressed.
How sad that U.S. Rep. Leonard
Boswell's supporters seem to concentrate on
smearing mud rather than solving issues.
Considering that Boswell gets 74
percent of his money from PACs, 96 percent of
which is not from Iowa, and 50 percent of that
is corporate, it seemed odd he would be saying
anything about how Ed Fallon gets his campaign
money.
Then it occurred to me that since
Fallon is known for running the cleanest
campaigns, casting doubt on that makes Boswell
look better. I guess it didn't matter to the
Boswell supporters that it wasn't true.
